Grilled Garlic Cheesy Bread

Summer happy hours are the best … you can just invite a few friends over for beers, sit outside and fire up the grill.

One of our favorite grilled appetizers is this easy grilled garlic cheesy bread.

Here’s what you need:

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Lunds & Byerlys Artisan Italian Bread
  • 1 cup shredded Gouda
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Directions

Heat your grill to medium heat, around 350 F.

Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or in a saucepan on the stove. Add the garlic, salt and parsley and mix until combined.

Cut the bread with diagonal slices, making sure you don’t cut all the way through the bread. Repeat going the opposite direction.

Pry open the bread slices, drizzle in the melted garlic butter and sprinkle in the Gouda.

Wrap the whole loaf in foil and place on the grill for about 15 minutes, then unwrap and place directly on the grill to make the bread nice and toasty on the outside.

Serve immediately.

Pairs well with Indeed Shenanigans Summer Ale.
