How to pick the perfect strawberry

Strawberries are one of the best foods you can eat. Not only are they tasty, but they’re also a great source of antioxidants and vitamin C.

Oh, and they’re amazing in strawberry shortcake and delicious ontop of cupcakes.

The redder the strawberries, the better they are for you –
and the better they’ll taste. Avoid ones that are dull in color or have green
or yellow patches, as those will likely be sour. Also, medium-sized
strawberries are often more flavorful than extra-large ones. Make sure you
store your strawberries in the fridge to keep them fresh and try to eat them
within a few days; after that, they start losing their nutrients.

At Lunds & Byerlys, we test our berries before they even
appear on the shelves to make sure they are at the peak of freshness and
quality. So what are you waiting for? Pick up some strawberries in our produce
department today!
